Korineum Hosts its second Senior Open

Following on from the successful Senior Open tournaments past 2 years, this year for three days between 2 to 4 February, Korineum hosted its third Senior Open.

Visitors enjoyed a practice round on the course before the 2 day competition started. Entries this year represented from Denmark, Finland, Sweden, UK, Ireland, Russia, South Cyprus, Turkey and North Cyprus.

Each day there was a half-way house BBQ for the players offering refreshments by the Resort’s chefs.

A prize giving cocktail Reception was held in the lobby where the worthy winners were presented with prizes from the sponsors.

Geoff Moule the Club Captain of 2017 led proceedings and called upon the General Manager Mr. Umut Gürtunç to present the prizes to the worthy winners.

Closest to the pin and longest drive prizes were awarded for each day together.

The competition prizes were supported by the sponsors and 2017 results are as follows;

Closest to the pin men: Alan Law
